Healthy Eating
Athletes should have a balanced diet which includes complex carbohydrates, lean proteins, healthy fats, fruits and vegetables which are highly recommended for athletes. Not all athletes follow these recommendations which impacts performance in their dedicated sports and do not promote healthy mental goals. It is important to note that the dietary needs of athletes may vary depending on individual fitness goals and the type of sports.
Fourth Quarter staff along with sports nutritionists, will help athletes achieve their dietary and nutritional goals.
Career Management
A college athlete is a student who competes in various sporting events to represent a school or institution. Most student-athletes are under scholarships and receive an allowance, either from the school or a particular organization. Their responsibility primarily revolves around attending rigorous training and practices, abiding by the university’s policies, displaying good sportsmanship, all while maintaining a standard academic grade. These requirements, at times prevent athletes from focusing on their long-term career goals and will often leave athletes without stable career options once their tenure comes to close. Through various corporate sponsors, athletes will be provided options for an after-sports career.
